Experimental studies on the creep behaviour of high-strength alloys
Author(s): Xinran Tang and Yuguo Gu
Abstract: This research focuses on the creep behavior of high-strength alloys subjected to various stress conditions and temperatures. Creep, a time-dependent deformation under constant stress, is critical for the durability of materials used in high-temperature environments such as turbines and aerospace components. We investigated three high-strength alloys, identifying their mechanical properties and creep behavior over extended periods. Using a combination of traditional and innovative testing methods, the study aims to correlate microstructural characteristics with creep resistance, providing a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms driving creep in these alloys.
