Enhancing fuel efficiency without compromising safety

Abstract: In the face of growing environmental concerns and fluctuating fuel prices, enhancing fuel efficiency has become a central goal in the automotive industry. However, improvements in fuel efficiency must not come at the expense of vehicle safety. This review explores the various technologies and design strategies that have been developed to improve fuel efficiency without compromising the safety of vehicles. We analyze advancements in engine technologies, lightweight materials, aerodynamic designs, and hybrid/electric systems, while also considering regulatory standards and the impact on vehicle safety performance. Future developments and challenges in balancing fuel efficiency and safety are also discussed.
